When Should You Start Raising Funds?

Cultivate-ebook-2

“I have never heard a pastor say we started raising funds too early.”

This is what one pastor told me the first week I worked for INJOY Stewardship.

Sixteen years later I still have yet to hear these words.

For churches wishing to raise funds the first half of 2019, the time to be meeting with INJOY Stewardship as a potential partner is now.

We recently created a resource entitled: Cultivate: How To Prepare NOW For A Successful Capital Campaign

In it, we provide many of the items church leaders need to know about successful seasons of giving and generosity.

One thing to note is it takes approximately six-to-nine months to ramp up a quality campaign effort.

At INJOY Stewardship, we deliver a 4-Step Process based around what King David did in 1 Chronicles 28 and 29 when he raised resources for what would become Solomon’s Temple.

The third step is Going Public.

This is what most people think of when they of a capital campaign.

Some of the items included in Going Public are message series, Sunday School and small group material, children and youth material, prayer events, and much, much more.

However, it takes steps one and two, Vision Clarification and Leadership Development, to set the stage for a successful public process.

For Vision Clarification and Leadership Development to be fully-realized, starting in the fall is necessary.

Also, if you are facing an upcoming resource challenge, please know we would be honored to serve you.
