Clear and Direct
Your team needs to understand what you are trying to accomplish.
Set clear expectations.
Knowing each team member on a personal level builds trust.
Understand your team well enough to be able to spot when something is wrong.
Value and care for your team and they will shut the team down; too much grace and they'll never learn to improve.
Having "good character" means doing the right thing, no matter the cost.
Your team is always watching you, whether you're on or off the field.
Knows One Size Does Not Fit All
"Fair does not mean equal; every team member can't be treated the same.
Your duty is to do what's in the best interest of the team.
